Vic Gillespie is one of our favorite southern artists who works to preserve the natural beauty of the world. One of his coastal scenes will be shown in a neighboring Crescent Beach shop during our inaugural Crescent Art Show Saturday, October 23. (See the previous post for additional details.)
Living on the North and South Carolina coasts, Vic paints the beach, lowlands, rivers and wildlife. He works in acrylics, egg tempera and watercolors. His art has been exhibited in group, juried and one-man shows throughout the east coast and is collected by museums, corporate and private patrons nationally. Locally, he is known for his support of charities through sales of his art.
A food drive for North Strand Helping Hand is part of the Oct. 23 event. Visitors are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to support this important cause. All of our special events are designed to support our local community groups in need of assistance.
Additional Crescent Art Shows are scheduled for November 13 and December 11, from 1 pm until 4 pm, plus a major spring event to be announced. The events are hosted by Century 21 Coastal Lifestyles located at 1908 Hwy. 17 S. in North Myrtle Beach. To exhibit or for sponsorship or additional information contact Nina Nash at Century 21, 1-800-ToRelax or 843-222-0464, or Liz Mitchell at The Mitchell Group, 843-902-4799.
